SF Public Schools Inch Toward School Selection Change

Since 2002, San Francisco Unified School District has placed students in its schools based on a lottery and a need for racial and economic diversity. For years parents have struggled with an inflexible system that refused to account for their families needs, location, and schedules. That's finally about to change.
